Jaycee’s Early Learning Center is described as a daycare and early childhood education center that offers infant, toddler, two year, three year, four year, school age, and summer programs. The program focuses on children’s cognitive, emotional, physical, and social development through interactive, interpersonal play and uses a research-supported childcare curriculum and teaching methods based on proven engagement methods and interaction models. Jaycee’s Early Learning Center has certified, credentialed teachers and caregivers, and many early learning teachers are credentialed at level four in the Maryland Child Care Credentialing Program, which indicates 2 or more years of experience working directly with young children. The center is a member of the Maryland State Child Care Association and the Prince George’s County Group Child Care Association, is accredited as a National Early Childhood Education Program (#21593), is associated with the Child Development Association/Child Development Associates, and participates in the Maryland Child Care Credentialing Program. Its mission states that it works with parents, child care providers, businesses, and the community to improve access to quality daycare and early education so that children in the region enter school safe, healthy, and eager to succeed in school and life. The center also works with parents, local child care providers, businesses, and the community to improve access to quality early learning services and extended child care services. The leadership includes the Jaycees Foundation President, Steve Novak.
