About
Terrapin STEM & Sports Camp offers hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs. Campers also take part in swimming, sports conditioning, and nature walks as part of the camp experience. The program includes hands-on activities in each STEM area listed, along with the physical activities named.
• Ages: 5–11 years old
Terrapin STEM & Sports Camp serves students in grades K–5 and focuses on hands-on STEM education. The mission of the camp is to make STEM education accessible to all students, specifically those underrepresented in STEM fields. The camp is owned and operated by AMI HOLDEN, who is a Media Specialist and Technology teacher with Howard County Public Schools and has over fifteen years of experience developing and teaching elementary STEM programs. She holds a master's degree in Instruction, Curriculum Design, and Assessment and a master's degree in School Library Media. AMI HOLDEN also participates in community events.
