Nanjemoy Creek Environmental Education Center Programs include activities such as Summer Camp, canoeing on Cabin Gut Marsh, and birdwatching. Participants use areas such as the Courtyard and fire circle, the Cabin Gut Marsh Boardwalk, and other facilities during these programs. The programs also feature Raptors in Residence housed in the Raptor Mews, which is the home for the center’s birds of prey.
The mission of Nanjemoy Creek Environmental Education Center is to provide meaningful outdoor learning experiences which promote the development of a lifelong environmental ethic of stewardship in students. Nanjemoy Creek Environmental Education Center is a privately owned facility that is leased to the board of education. The center lists a coordinator contact at [email protected].
