Dominique Dawes Academy

Dominique Dawes Academy offers recreational gymnastics, junior gymnastics, ninja classes, tumbling classes, combo classes, Ninja & Tumbling Combo, and Ninja & Gymnastics Combo. It also offers homeschool gymnastics classes, competitive gymnastics, preschool classes, summer camps, and birthday parties. Recreational gymnastics uses floor, beam, bars, vault, and tumble track, and junior classes use age-appropriate equipment, bars, beams, mats, and circuit-style activities.

Programs

• Recreational Gymnastics — Ages 6-13+ years · Beginner-friendly classes; co-ed. Coaches guide kids through skills at a pace that keeps learning exciting without feeling overwhelming.
• Junior Gymnastics — 18 months-6 years · Classes for toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners; age groups include Seeds, Seedlings, Sprouts, and Buds.

About the provider

Dominique Dawes opened her first academy in Clarksburg, MD in July 2020, followed by a second location in Rockville, MD in April 2023. The academy’s mission is to develop happy, active and strong kids by fostering their physical, emotional, and social development. Dominique Dawes is a three-time Olympian, an Olympic Gold Medalist, a member of the Magnificent Seven, and was inducted into the USA Olympic Hall of Fame in 2008. The academy also offers camps, drop-in play, kids' night out, and open gym events, and Dominique Dawes continues to work with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

The academy offers a complimentary gymnastics or ninja class for new kids, families and parents. It also states month-to-month commitment, sibling and multi-class discounts, and a flexible make-up policy. Junior classes include some age-group requirements such as adult participation for Seeds and potty training for Seedlings.
