Green Acres Camp offers a camp experience that includes daily group swim lessons for Junior campers in the on-campus pool and an optional free swim period each day for Senior campers. Senior campers choose from new programs every two weeks and are assigned to color teams that take part in weekly challenges leading up to the all-day Green Acres Camp Cup tournament at the end of the camp season. Campers who use Before and After Care have access to bonus activities, time on the playground, and occasional time in the pool.
• Ages: 4 years old–rising 8th grade
• Schedule: Summer sessions offered in weekly blocks from late June through mid-August, with Before and After Care available from as early as 7:30 AM until 6 PM
Since 1966, Green Acres Camp has provided a place where children ages 4 through rising 8th grade can learn and explore a wide array of challenging and innovative activities. The camp states that it strives to encourage campers to express their individuality, broaden their interests, and enjoy the companionship of friends and staff. Green Acres Camp notes that it is celebrating 60 years of summer and is described as “the place to be year after year for a summer of fun and adventure.” Junior Camp is structured for campers entering Kindergarten through 3rd grade, while Senior campers have a wide selection of activities tailored to their interests that allow them to personalize their schedules. The camp also offers add-on swim lessons after camp and provides flexible transportation options, including bus services that are described as making the bus ride an extension of the camp day.
