Junior Beach Patrol Camp includes fun drills, water safety, and rescue techniques. Participants also learn about the equipment used to keep beach-goers safe. Camps offer programs for learning about the Ocean City Beach Patrol.

• Ages: 10–17 years old
• Schedule: Four-day morning and afternoon academies, four-day advanced morning and afternoon sessions, and a one-day seminar, all held Tuesday through Friday in either morning or afternoon time blocks
• Price: Four-day academies and advanced sessions are $150.00 with an Ocean City resident/property-owner discount price of $120.00; the one-day seminar is $40.00 with an Ocean City resident/property-owner discount price of $34.00; deposits for four-day camps are $30.00 for residents and $40.00 for non-residents, with all deposits non-refundable and all payments non-refundable within 10 days prior to the start of each camp

Participants must know how to swim, and trunks, hats, and other items are available for purchase on-site. Advanced Junior Beach Patrol Camp participants at level 3 and Crew Chief level 4 are asked to help organize and lead crews of level 1 and level 2 Junior Beach Patrol members. Advanced (Level 3) campers must have successfully completed levels 1 and 2 and be at least 12 years old on the first day of the session, and Crew Chief (Level 4) campers must have successfully completed levels 1, 2, and 3 and be at least 14 years old on the first day of the session. Registration can be completed online or in person at the Northside Park Main Office, and discount hotel rates are available with partners Comfort Inn (code LPARKS) and Holiday Inn (code ILLC3).

The Ocean City Recreation and Parks Programs staff is made up of professionals specializing in the fields of Recreation and Parks, Sports Management, and Physical Education, and staff are required to undergo drug testing and background checks. The Recreation Supervisor is Craig Southard. The mission of Ocean City Recreation and Parks is to provide quality recreational, cultural and social opportunities, as well as safe, clean, enjoyable parks, beaches and facilities to enhance the quality of life for Ocean City residents and visitors.
