Summer Art Camp is part of a summer art camp program that includes workshops for artists of all ages and skill levels. The program is connected with activities such as a Plein Air Painting Competition and the Sand Castle Home Tour.
• Schedule: Open Monday–Friday 9am–4pm and Saturday–Sunday 11am–4pm
The program takes place at a non-profit art facility that includes a spacious two story gallery, a pottery studio, classrooms, an art library, and five working artist studios. The organization’s mission is to promote artistic expression and appreciation for the creative arts in the community. It is a non-profit 501c3 organization that focuses on education, exhibits, scholarship programs, and public service projects, with funding support from the Worcester County Arts Council, Maryland State Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts. The facility offers free admission, is ADA accessible, and has affordable community meeting space with views of the bay available for rent.
The organization’s leadership includes an executive director, education director, pottery studio manager, gallery manager, volunteer and events coordinator, film festival director, front desk and administrative staff, and a board with officers such as president, vice presidents, treasurer, and secretaries, along with multiple directors.
