Ocean City Recreation & Parks Summer Camps offers a wide range of activity-based camps, including soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, co-rec basketball, football, golf, field hockey, lacrosse for girls and boys, tennis, track and field, volleyball, pickleball, and day camps. The program also includes Ocean Bowl Skate Camp and other skateboard camps, surfing camp, paddleboard (SUP) camp, kayak camp, fishing camp, Jr Beach Patrol Camp, Jr. Firefighter Camp, Girls Boogie Board Camp, cheerleading camp, dance camp, drama camp, carpentry camp, Lego camp, coding and gaming development camps, science camp, cooking camp, Crafty Creations Camp, Say-Cation Camp, and Back-To-School Camp. Art-focused options include Art Adventure Camp and Art Camp, with activities such as drawing, painting, pottery, sculpting, jewelry making, and mixed media.

Ocean City Recreation and Parks states that its mission is to provide recreational, cultural and social opportunities, as well as safe, clean, enjoyable parks, beaches and facilities to enhance the quality of life for Ocean City residents and visitors. The Ocean City Recreation and Parks Programs staff is made up of professionals specializing in Recreation and Parks, Sports Management and Physical Education, and staff are required to undergo drug testing and background checks. Staff are trained and encouraged to maintain a superior level of service for the community.
Soccer camp is under the direction of Bobby McAvan, a former coach and player for the Baltimore Blast, and Dynamic Performance Soccer Training Camp is one of the soccer options. Baseball camp is directed by the University of Maryland baseball team and focuses on improving baseball skills through fun and innovative drills for players of all ability levels. Art Adventure Camp is sponsored by the Art League of Ocean City and offers a daily variety of art activities including drawing, painting, pottery, sculpting, jewelry making, mixed media and more. Ocean Bowl Skate Camp is held at Ocean City’s Ocean Bowl Skate Park and is open to skaters of all ability levels, from beginners to those wanting to improve skills.
The camps are described as a variety of fun camps for children to enjoy while at the beach, with a wide variety of camp experiences to meet diverse interests and needs of residents and visitors. Programs are offered at varying date and time schedules to accommodate both working and vacationing families.
