About

Synergy Martial Arts offers martial arts classes, an after school program, and a summer camp. The program includes a new student exclusive trial program that features weeks of unlimited classes, a personal intro session with an instructor, and a full facility tour and program walkthrough. Most students start with zero experience, and no long-term commitment is needed to get started.

• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: OPEN: Mon-Sat Morning & Afternoon

Synergy Martial Arts offers kids martial arts for ages 4–11, a teens program for ages 13–17, and an adults program for ages 18 and up. The program also runs an after school program for ages 5–12 and a summer camp program for ages 5–12. The trial program includes a parent Q&A for kids programs and is described as zero commitment with no pressure.

The leadership team includes Master Derek Depaolis, owner and head instructor, and Master Michael Depaolis, lead martial arts instructor. Synergy Martial Arts has been operating since 2006 and states it has over 20 years of building confident, disciplined leaders across Odenton and beyond. The stated mission is to offer martial arts for kids, teens, and adults while building confidence, discipline, and leaders one black belt at a time.

The program highlights an Anti-Bullying System with confidence-based tools taught in every kids and teen class, ADHD-friendly structured drills with positive reinforcement for every learning style, and a Belt Mastery Path milestone system that teaches students to set and achieve goals. It also notes a family culture where parents are partners and tools are sent to reinforce skills at home. A web special offers 7 days free for new students.

Synergy Martial Arts reports 2000+ five star reviews, 5-star rated Google and Facebook reviews, and a 96% Facebook recommend rate. One parent, Jon K., says his kids love coming for the martial arts and stay for the games at the end of class, and that each day and lesson is a little different, and they are looking forward to a week of summer camp. Another parent, Phong N., says his son enjoys and looks forward to going to class and is learning to be confident, active, disciplined, and respectful, and calls it a great place with great people. Paulie C. describes superb leadership, a committed staff, and a positive environment that challenges members and supports disciplinary habits. Rebecca P. shares that her child was afraid to step on the mat the first day and, after four months, had gained confidence and self control, and she describes the instructors as phenomenal and balancing discipline and fun in a yin and yang way.
