About

Youth Programs is part of Wilderness Torah’s Youth & Family Programs, Holiday Retreats & Festivals, Online Courses, and Earth-Based Teachings. The program is offered for grades 1–12 and is part of a pluralistic, multigenerational community that focuses on earth-based traditions of Judaism. Within this community, youth are mentored to discover their truth, adults are initiated to steward that which is greater than themselves, and elders are honored for their life experience and earned wisdom.

• Ages: 6–17 years old

Wilderness Torah’s regional Bay Area village is the heart of who they serve, and they welcome participants from across the country and internationally to join retreats, festivals, and online programs. Wilderness Torah’s mission is to promote healing, belonging, and resilience by awakening and celebrating earth-based Jewish traditions through inclusive and intergenerational village-building. Their innovative community-building and education programs create transformative experiences for participants. Wilderness Torah has joined forces with Adamah to launch Adamah SF, which continues Wilderness Torah’s Bay Area programs and hosts Adamah’s national initiatives locally, including the Jewish Youth Climate Movement for teens and Adamah on Campus for college students, along with programs for organizations and professionals. One participant described their experience by saying, “This is how we were meant to live: In community, in prayer, in harmony with nature. In a world where we’ve wandered too far from our roots, I’m grateful to Wilderness Torah for providing a pathway home.”
