VisArts Camps, Classes, and Youth Art Programs

VisArts Camps, Classes, and Youth Art Programs include hands-on activities in glass, ceramics, sculpture, fiber, paper crafts, mixed media, painting, and drawing, along with special interest topics. The program also offers workshops and school programs, community-taught workshops, and private art parties for children. Summer camps for kids and summer intensives for tweens and teens are part of the program, as well as camps and intensives when school is out in the fall, winter, and spring.

• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Administrative office hours are Monday–Saturday from 9 AM to 7:30 PM and Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM; gallery hours are Wednesday–Thursday from 12 PM to 4 PM, Friday from 12 PM to 8 PM, and Saturday–Sunday from 12 PM to 4 PM

VisArts has been a hub for artistic exploration and social impact since 1987. Its mission states that it serves tots, children, tweens, teens, and adults and is committed to making artistic experiences accessible to all. The organization’s leadership team includes a Chief Executive Officer, an Education Director, an Assistant Camp Director, and an Education Program Coordinator, along with staff leading galleries, advancement, events, marketing, finance, facilities, human resources, and studio management. The Center for Craft Studies offers workshops and courses in glass, ceramics, sculpture, fiber, paper crafts, and special interest topics, and the Studio Artist Program includes a supported studio program for neurodiverse artists called VisAbility Art Lab. The organization also presents current contemporary art exhibitions with opening celebrations, After Hours events, artist talks, and other free exhibition programs.
