School Days Out Programs are offered through the YMCA of the Chesapeake. With membership, families connected to this program have access to over 300 free land and water group exercise classes. Membership also includes Stay & Play service for children six weeks to ten years old for up to two hours per day, with a parent required to remain on-site.

The YMCA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit social services organization dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. People from all backgrounds and walks of life come together at the YMCA of the Chesapeake to volunteer and help strengthen their community. Membership privileges connected with this program include access to all YMCA of the Chesapeake locations listed by the organization, as well as access to all Ys in the State of Maryland and participating Ys throughout the country. With membership, families receive reduced rates on swim lessons, day camp, youth sports, and other programs. The Y states that it turns no one away due to the inability to pay and provides financial assistance to participants.
