YMCA of the Chesapeake Youth Programs include swim lessons, day camp, youth sports, and group exercise classes. The program also offers over 300 free land and water group exercise classes as part of its activities. A Stay & Play service is available for children six weeks to ten years old for up to two hours per day, with a parent required to remain on-site.

The YMCA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit social services organization. People from all backgrounds and walks of life come together to volunteer and help strengthen their community. Membership privileges include access to all YMCA of the Chesapeake locations, including Elkton, Chestertown, Centreville, Denton, Easton, St. Michaels, Cambridge, Salisbury, Pocomoke City, and Chincoteague Island, and membership also allows access to all Ys in the State of Maryland and participating Ys throughout the country. The Y turns no one away due to the inability to pay and provides over $2,000,000 in financial assistance to over 20,000 participants every year.
