At BUSA, the stated mission is a “Beyond Soccer” philosophy that focuses on building skills, promoting youth development, and enhancing game knowledge to help unlock each child’s full potential, no matter their age or skill level. The academy follows a curriculum based on science and research that promotes both physical and mental health, reduces burnout, and supports players in reaching their full potential, with a soccer development plan that spans from a child’s first touches with the ball to their highest level. The program emphasizes soft skills for success on and off the field and provides cultural exposure by training with experienced Brazilian coaches.

The coaching staff consists of professional skilled coaches from Brazil who have sport-related major degrees and high-level experience as former players. All coaches hold soccer licenses and have undergone background checks.

Parents describe BUSA as having coaches who are caring and compassionate and who are constantly studying and improving in order to provide high-quality soccer practice. One parent notes that their child chose BUSA after multiple travel team tryouts because the coaches remembered his name. Other parents mention that their children enjoy Rec and travel team play with BUSA, and they highlight the coaches, culture, and environment that BUSA brings to their soccer community, including being greeted with a smile, a high five, and a positive attitude at practices and games.
