The Edge Training Academy offers gym memberships, personal training, athletic development, leagues, open play, clinics and classes, and both youth and adult activities. The program includes strength training, weight loss, injury prevention, cardiovascular health, posture correction, strength and conditioning, speed and power development, sport-specific skills, return-to-play, and combine or showcase preparation. It also hosts rentals and parties, arena field parties and events, field days, community events, leadership programs, scholarships, and other community activities.

The Edge Training Academy was founded in 2013. The leadership team includes Robert Woolley (Owner), Sarah Seeling (General Manager), Donasja Cooper (Training Coordinator & Coach), Thomas Jourdak (Strength & Conditioning Coach), Paul Marek (Lacrosse Coordinator & Coach), Justin Messersmith (Lacrosse Coach), and Brandon Galloway (Lacrosse Coach). Robert has over 30 collective seasons of coaching experience, and his experiences include Maryland Lacrosse State Championships in 2014, 2015, 2022, and 2023.
Staff credentials include Robert’s Bachelor of Science with Honors in Exercise Science and Business. Donasja Cooper holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Wesley College and a Master of Science in Sport Human Performance and Nutrition from Liberty University, and she is a Certified Personal Trainer and Strength & Conditioning Coach. Thomas Jourdak earned Personal Trainer Certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2014 and from the International Sports Sciences Association in 2025. Lacrosse coach Justin Messersmith became an All-American at Anne Arundel Community College, played Division 2 lacrosse at Newberry College with first and second team awards in the South Atlantic Conference, and holds multiple school records as a faceoff specialist and a two-way midfielder, graduating in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in speech.
Additional credentials and awards include Donasja being a two-time Maryland State Champion in high school softball, and Justin being a back-to-back two-time state champion in lacrosse and a one-time state champion in wrestling. The program is connected with GIVING THE EDGE FOUNDATION, a non-profit organization whose mission is to help young people grow into successful, caring, responsible, and productive adults. The foundation is dedicated to helping local kids and teens, and Robert participates in many charity events through this organization. One leader at The Edge Training Academy is also described as a leader in the community, in church, and to her four younger siblings.
