About
Revolution Field Hockey Camps offers field hockey training through winter and summer camps and clinics that include dribbling, passing and receiving, tackling, forcing and pressing, transition play, and rules instruction. Campers take part in technical work such as forehand and backhand shot variety, 2D and 3D skills to move past a defender, defensive techniques, goalkeeper work, team concepts, and tactical skills. Daily play includes small-sided games, team-based games and scrimmages, daily scrimmages, and opportunities for refereeing.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Day and Half Day programs typically run 3 or 4 days, with day camps commonly operating around 9am–3pm or 9am–4pm and many offering a half day option (about 9am–Noon) for younger campers; some field hockey camps run as half day only from about 8:30am–Noon; Overnight Camps run 4 days and 3 nights, with Extended Day Camp schedules running approximately 9am–8pm.
Highly trained, award-winning staff and top-tier field hockey coaches supervise campers for the entire duration of the camp, and at overnight tennis camps the staff resides in the dormitories with campers and is trained to be positive role models on and off the field. Revolution Field Hockey Camps states a mission of helping field hockey athletes of all skill levels reach elite levels of play in tournaments, scrimmages, college, or beyond, and lists core values of Excellence, Fun, Improvement, Safety, and Sportsmanship. The program notes a positive camper-to-coach ratio, groups campers by ability and age, evaluates campers on the first day, and offers a personalized experience tailored to improve skills and elevate each player’s game, with camp T-shirts, prizes, and daily scrimmages at top facilities. Programs are offered as Full or Half-Day, Overnight, or Extended Day camp experiences, with overnight campers staying in dorm rooms, eating all-you-can-eat buffet meals, joining entertaining evening activities, and participating in 6 or more hours of field hockey practice each day; an Extended Day Camp option is offered at all overnight camp locations and is open to any and all entrants.
Revolution Field Hockey Camps operates under the eCamps Sports Network, which reports developing over 100,000 young athletes at camps nationwide since 2001. The program partners with the United States Field Hockey Association (USAFHA), the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), Harrow Field Hockey, CranBarry Field Hockey, LEAP Hockey, and SISU Mouthguards. For Day and Half Day Camps, field hockey campers provide their own lunch, and at some half day only camps campers bring their own snacks for the break.
