About

Asian Martial Arts Studio Children's Program includes training in Karate, Aikido, Hung Gar Kung Fu, and Wing Chun Kung Fu. The program takes place in a primary training area where cushioned mats cover the floors. As students progress and meet qualifications, they may also use facilities for weight training, traditional weapons, and special equipment for various kinds of developmental exercises.

• Schedule: Membership privileges allow regular members to attend as many of the regularly scheduled classes in their program as they choose.

Kids classes meet once a week on Saturdays, from 12:30 to 1:30. Monthly membership dues are $68 a month, per student, but there's discounts for family memberships, which includes parents that wish to study some of the other arts offered at the dojo (Aikido, Karate, Kung fu).

Asian Martial Arts Studio has been teaching traditional East Asian martial arts since 1974 and is the oldest full-time martial arts school in Ann Arbor. The program follows the school’s mission to offer opportunities for self-development through training in traditional martial arts. The school is close to the University of Michigan central campus. Later in the course of training, members are encouraged to train in more than one martial art.
