About
Michigan Sports Academy Lesson Programs offers instruction in pitching, hitting, speed and agility, catching, and infield skills. The program includes options such as Pitching Instruction through private and group lessons, Developmental 4 Packs, Team Lessons, Buddy Lessons, a Monthly Pitching Membership, and group sessions that focus on drill work to refine technique, form, and spin. The Monthly Pitching Membership is only available with purchase of a 4 pack, and this program is described as being designed to reinforce what is covered in lessons.
• Schedule: July and August sessions meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00am to 11:45am
• Price: $80/Month
Group sessions are limited to 6–8 girls per session. The program states that each player is evaluated individually and that skill development is treated as an art, tailored to fit each player rather than using a one-size-fits-all style or philosophy. Michigan Sports Academy Lesson Programs uses the phrase “MSA - Where Kids Learn to Love the Game.”
The leadership team includes Eamon Horwedel and pitching instructor Emily Raubuch. Eamon Horwedel is a Varsity Baseball Coach for Huron High School and a pitching coach for the Kalamazoo Growlers. He trained at Michigan Sports Academy from age 12 through his college career and played on four MSA summer teams from 2015 to 2018 under Coach Harrison and Coach Zahn. He is a Skyline High School graduate from 2014 to 2018, played for Ohio University from 2018 to 2022, and for the University of Michigan from 2022 to 2024. He played five seasons for the Kalamazoo Growlers from 2019 to 2024 and is one of two players in the Kalamazoo Growlers Hall of Fame.
