Winter Baseball Clinics are led by High School and Youth Baseball Development staff, with multiple new instructors who have college-level playing and coaching experience. The Homegrown Baseball Camp is led by Paxton Thompson, a professional relief pitcher in the Philadelphia Phillies organization who plays for the Jersey Shore BlueClaws and previously played at Bradley University, the University of Mary, Parkland College, and UNC Charlotte before signing with the Phillies in 2023. The Saint Michael - Albertville Youth Baseball Association states that it is organized exclusively for enjoyment and educational purposes, with a core purpose to teach players to play competitive organized baseball in an atmosphere of fair play, good sportsmanship, promotion of team spirit, and fun. The Homegrown Baseball Camp highlights that Paxton Thompson started in the STMA Youth Baseball program and is described as passionate about giving back to the community that started his baseball journey. New this year, all 8-year-olds will participate in an evaluation on Saturday, March 21st at the Dome, separate from travel tryouts, with no fee for 8-year-olds to be evaluated. For families selecting the Travel Tryout option, the dome fee is mandatory and non-refundable, and travel players have dome membership included in travel baseball registration.
