About
Camp Tamarack – Minnesota is a non-profit, non-denominational overnight summer camp for boys and girls who have completed 2nd through 8th grade. The camp holds separate weeks for boys and girls and includes an additional Half-Night event in 2026 for former campers only.
• Ages: Completed 2nd–8th grade
• Schedule: Boys’ week runs August 2–7, 2026; girls’ week runs August 9–14, 2026; a Half-Night event for former campers takes place April 11, 2026
• Price: The 2026 camp fee is $375.
Camp Tamarack of MN became its own 501(c)3 nonprofit as of 2025. St. Albert’s the Great Church founded the camp in 1970 and supported the camp experience for over 50 years, and a majority of the campers come from the Twin Cities area with transportation provided from St. Albert’s Church. All staff are volunteers who pay a fee to attend the camp to keep costs low. Families must submit a new physical exam form every year by July 1, 2026, including the date of the child’s last physical (within two years of the start of camp), immunization records or dates, and medical insurance information. Camp Tamarack requires campers to have updated immunization records with routine childhood vaccinations, while COVID vaccinations are not required, and campers cannot receive phone calls while at camp unless it is an emergency. For questions about registration, payments, physicals, transportation, or other planning information, families can contact Davi Axelson at [email protected].
