Dancin’ Off Broadway Dance Classes offers instruction in tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, musical theatre, and acro. Classes are taught by qualified instructors with years of experience.

Dancin’ Off Broadway Dance Classes has been a vibrant dance studio in the Alexandria and Sauk Centre area for over 35 years and was founded in 1988 by Jackie Payne-Noetzelman. The program provides dance instruction for over 350 students and serves more than 30 surrounding communities. It offers recreation classes for dancers ages 3 and older in a friendly, non-competitive environment, as well as a competitive division offering a more challenging, rigorous dance experience. Dancers participate in two professional recitals and a showcase each year. Over 35 years, the studio has emphasized the importance of giving back to the communities who have been generous to them.
The leadership team includes Executive Director and Owner Mariya Kemper; Administrative Director and Owner Cheryl Lawinger; Creative Director Bria Lawinger; Technical Director and Owner Alan Lawinger; Assistant Creative Directors Paige Lawinger, Lexi Lawinger, Teryl Kindel, and Jackson Grove; Assistant Technical Director Wes Kemper; Administrative Assistants Amanda Ritter and Sarah Kampsen; Instructors and Choreographers Hannah Berg and instructors Emily Berger, Nichole Boyden, Grace Loken, Aubrey Kindel, Kierra Ritter, Izzy Kampsen, Kate Boyden; and Assistant Instructors Sydney Keogh, Amelia Schafer, Alexa DeGier, Eleigh Meier, Finley Paulsen, Olivia Schafer, Rylin Converse, and Piper Newman.
The mission of Dancin’ Off Broadway states that it values hard work, determination, loyalty, teamwork, accountability, creativity, building confidence, and more, with fun at the forefront of its mission, and that it is ultimately striving to provide dancers with the life skills they need to be good people long after their studio journey is over.
One competition team dancer, Dasha Hohn, shares that she is happy with the memories she has made at the studio, that she is always happy to come to the studio and dance, that there has not been a day she wanted to stay home, and that everyone is kind and makes her smile, including many people and teachers she feels are always there for her. Parent Rachel Golberg, mom of Isla, shares that she worried her daughter would not be able to take dance like she did because of Isla’s disability, that dance has been her number one passion her whole life, that Dancin’ Off Broadway welcomed Isla with open arms, that dance is Isla’s favorite thing to do, and that she is grateful Isla has had the chance to be with her friends.
