About
Alexandria Junior Golf Programs include the Junior Golf Academy, the Junior Elite League, and LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Alexandria, along with themed events such as a Kick-off clinic & fun day, Father/daughter clinic, Flamingo / Pink Day, Red, White & Birdie Day, Beach Party / Hawaiian Luau, Bring a Friend event, Little Darling Scramble, Painting & Putting Party, Drive for Show & Putt for Dough, and a Pizza Party & Putting event. Participants take part in golf instruction, competition on the golf course, painting, and putting through these different activities.
• Ages: 6–17 years old
• Schedule: Junior Elite League meets on June 10, June 24, July 8, and July 22 with instruction from 3:30–4:00 PM followed by tee times from 4:00–4:30 PM; LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Alexandria meets on selected Saturdays from 3:00–5:00 PM and Wednesdays from 5:00–7:00 PM between May 30 and September 26, 2026
• Price: Junior Elite League costs $30 per session; LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Alexandria has a program fee of $120
The Junior Elite League is geared toward competitive junior golfers, both boys and girls, ages 10–15 who are able to shoot 50 or better for 9 holes, and includes 30 minutes of instruction before on-course competition with a focus on course strategy, goal setting, specialty shots, rules, and etiquette, with class size limited and member billing or cash/check payment for non-members each session. LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Alexandria is open to girls ages 6–17 from beginner to advanced, emphasizes learning to play golf, building lasting friendships, and experiencing competition in a fun and supportive environment, and requires enrollment and registration as a national member at girlsgolf.org, with weekly attendance responses handled by email through Golf Genius. Alexandria Golf Club, which runs these programs, is considered one of the top golf clubs in Minnesota and is home to The Resorters Golf Tournament, described as one of the oldest and esteemed amateur golf tournaments in the nation, and its Little Darling Par 3 Course has been named one of Golf Digest's 11 Favorite New Short Courses.
