About
Blaine Volleyball Youth Recreational Volleyball offers a fall skills clinic for athletes in grades 3–5, a spring recreational league for athletes in grades 2–5, and a summer camp for athletes in grades 3–8. For the 2025–2026 season, the program will offer a variety of youth development opportunities starting in September.
• Ages: 7–13 years old
• Schedule: Variety of youth development opportunities starting in September for the 2025–2026 season
The recreational program offers introductory volleyball opportunities for athletes in grades 2–8, with the goal of providing a beginning level volleyball experience. Athletes are trained in volleyball skills, knowledge, and general understanding of the game, with a focus on teamwork. Athletes are challenged to improve their skills and learn new techniques in an encouraging environment.
The leadership team includes Director Cody Engelhaupt, Girls Varsity Head Coach at the high school Natalie Thienes, and Assistant Youth/JO - Club staff member Steph Thiel. The program will only accept athletes who live in the Blaine attendance area or who currently attend school within the Blaine school district, and Blaine Volleyball reserves the right to prioritize Anoka-Hennepin public school students in accordance with guidance from Blaine High School volleyball staff and the Activities Director.
