About

The Blaine Volleyball Youth Recreational Program offers a fall skills clinic, a spring recreational league, and a summer camp. The program’s recreational activities include introductory volleyball experiences for athletes in grades 2–8. Athletes in this program work on skills, knowledge, and general understanding of the game, with attention to teamwork and learning new techniques in an encouraging environment.

• Ages: 7–16 years old

For the 2025–2026 season, the program will offer a variety of youth development opportunities starting in September. The program’s stated goal is to provide athletes a beginning level volleyball experience. Leadership for Blaine Volleyball includes Director Cody Engelhaupt and High School Girls Varsity Head Coach Natalie Thienes, with Cody Engelhaupt also listed for Youth/JO Club (SRM). Community guidelines state that only athletes who live in the Blaine attendance area or attend school within the Blaine school district will be accepted, and Blaine Volleyball reserves the right to prioritize Anoka-Hennepin public school students in line with guidance from Blaine High School volleyball staff and the Activities Director. The program also notes that athletes in grades 4–10 who are interested in competitive travel volleyball can learn more about its JO and YDT club teams.
