Headline Dance Center Summer Camps

Headline Dance Center Summer Camps offer themed dance and performance camps that include learning to sing, learning to dance, posing, games, and end-of-camp performances. Campers take part in activities such as making their own Pop Star costumes, musical theatre training in singing, acting, and dancing, learning hard-hitting choreography to the music of “K-Pop Demon Hunters,” and exploring dance styles like Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Ballet. Some camps also include learning dances to songs from the movie Frozen, team building to create a magical ice castle, exploring and learning authentic Scandinavian arts and crafts, and activities to learn about the solar system and the outer reaches of outer space.

• Schedule: Half-day and full-day camps offered in week-long sessions with morning or afternoon options in July and August

Headline Dance Center Summer Camps include Mini Popz camp for high energy 3–5 year olds, a Frozen-inspired camp, an Oz-themed mystery camp with Glinda, a Taylor Swift themed camp with an end-of-camp concert on the Moon, an Ultimate Hip-Hop Summer Camp with Ms. Abbey and special guest artists from the Twin Cities hip-hop community, a multi-style dance camp for dancers ages 7–11, and a One-Week Musical Theatre Camp. The One-Week Musical Theatre Camp features a faculty of Broadway veterans and New York performing artists, with guest artists direct from Broadway and previous faculty from Broadway productions including Wicked, Mamma Mia, The Lion King, Heathers, The King and I, Les Miserables, The Last Ship, Mean Girls, Aladdin, Rock of Ages, Rent, Big, and more. Headline Dance Center describes its class formats as innovative and its teaching staff as industry leading, helmed by Broadway veteran Enrico Rodriguez, and states that each student is challenged to reach their full potential through self-expression.
