The stated mission of i9 Sports Youth Sports Leagues, Camps & Clinics is to help kids succeed in life through sports by providing a youth sports experience that teaches the importance of good sportsmanship on the field and in life. The program focuses on teaching nine defined sportsmanship values: Respect, Positivity, Teamwork, Humility, Enthusiasm, Determination, Integrity, Inclusion, and Leadership. Each week, one of these nine sportsmanship values is integrated into practice and game play across all age groups, and an i9 Sports Excellence in Sportsmanship medal is awarded to a player who best demonstrates the weekly sportsmanship value.

The program reports over 5 million registrations in communities across the country and describes itself as the nation’s largest multi-sport provider focused solely on high-quality, community-based youth sports programs. It offers programs for kids ages 3 and up, states a commitment to age-appropriate instruction, and emphasizes making sports fun for kids and convenient for busy families. Nike Kids Camps powered by i9 Sports are described as being for campers ages 5–12, with age groups broken out so kids work on age-appropriate skills.
