About

Lightbridge Academy Summer Camp includes activities such as exploring the Wild West, creating stick horses to ride, conducting STREAM experiments, making bubbling volcanos, and preparing their own carnival. The program includes an advanced air purification and filtration system, state-of-the-art security and entry systems, the ParentView® Internet Monitoring System, and the Lightbridge Journey app. Campers do not have to be enrolled in a Lightbridge Academy year-round program to join the summer camp, and every week has a unique theme with engaging lesson plans focused on expanding academic knowledge and social-emotional growth.

• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Many different schedules are available, with options to book the entire summer or just a few weeks, and to choose extended-day, full-day, or other schedule options

Summer Camp is staffed with members of the Lightbridge Academy team who are experienced with young children, CPR and first-aid certified, and who meet all state licensing requirements for mandatory background checks. Every staff member must obtain an active CPR and first-aid certification, meet or exceed state-mandated educational requirements, and pass thorough background checks. The program follows a proprietary early childhood education curriculum based on Common Core State Standards to achieve age-appropriate goals and uses a “Learning is Fun” philosophy through play and positive reinforcement.

The Lightbridge Promise is described as the child care industry’s Gold Standard for cleanliness, security, and peace of mind, and includes enhanced health and safety standards and an advanced air purification and filtration system. This system uses advanced oxidation technology, similar in design to what is used in healthcare and food processing plants, to continuously purify the air and sterilize all visible surfaces. State-of-the-art security and entry systems include facial recognition, silent alarms, internal video monitoring, and limited points of entry, and a Lightbridge Quality Assurance Program includes regular unannounced inspections from a quality assurance team. Parents can use secure online video monitoring via the ParentView® Internet Monitoring System and receive reminders, photos, videos, and more in a daily report through the Lightbridge Journey app.

Children receive nutritious snacks as part of the summer camp program, and families have the option to pack their child’s lunch or choose one of the Meal Plan options, with extended hours available and the option for the program to take care of lunch and snacks. Lightbridge Academy describes its approach as a Circle of Care® community approach to care. The organization states its Mission as: “Illuminate young minds while helping everyone in our Circle of Care along life’s journey.” Since 1997, Lightbridge Academy’s educational child care centers have been a place where parents, children, staff, franchise owners, and communities have come together. The leadership team includes Chief Executive Officer Gigi Schweikert, and the founder states: “My wife Julia & I are parents of three sons and eight grandchildren.” One parent, Valerie, states, “My husband and I work long hours and finding the right fit was so important to us! From the moment we walked in the door, we felt the warmth and sensed something special.”
