About
Dragonfly Theatre Arts Camp focuses on musical theater, where campers sing, dance, act, and work together on putting on a complete show. Campers take part in auditions, rehearse for a performance, and work with teaching artists on set creation and costume creation. Dragonfly Theatre Camp is a nut-free and device-free program, and a nut-free snack is provided for all campers each afternoon.
• Ages: 8–13 years old
• Schedule: Camp runs Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with each six-day session ending in a friends-and-family performance at 2:30 PM on Saturday. Campers experience the full process of putting on a complete show from auditions to performance in only 6 days.
• Price: Tuition for Dragonfly Theater Camp Summer 2025 will be $325.
Dragonfly Theatre Arts Camp is part of the Dragonfly Theatre Arts Program offered by Chaska Valley Family Theatre (CVFT), which began in 1995 when a group of former Chaska High School students formed a community theater. CVFT uses a variety of Carver County venues and partners with local civic organizations for special events, and it offers educational opportunities throughout the year for local youth through the Dragonfly Theatre Arts Program. The mission of CVFT is to create a nurturing and inclusive theater community that is welcoming, collaborative, and encourages artistic growth, while fostering a lifelong love for the arts.
