Tonka Fusion Elite is an elite soccer program where players take part in soccer training, league fixtures, and high-level competitions. Players compete in Girls Academy League competition, MLS NEXT competition, and events such as the National Academy Championships, The Academy Cup tournament, the Minnesota United ID Showcase, and the Shattuck-St. Mary’s Capelli College Showcase. The program structure brings together top-level players from its member clubs and across the greater metro area, with access to top-tier coaching, premier facilities, and a comprehensive development model.

In June 2017, Tonka United Soccer Association and Fusion Soccer Club launched a partnership to form Tonka Fusion Elite, starting at the U13 and U14 levels. The program later added U12 programming for the 2024/2025 season. Tonka Fusion Elite serves as the pinnacle of the player pathways for Tonka United and Fusion and depends on its two member clubs in every aspect of operations, including field access, coaching, and financial backing. The collaboration was built to foster a culture of excellence, empowering players to reach their full potential both on and off the field for the duration of their youth careers.
Tonka Fusion Elite is associated with the Girls Academy League and will join MLS NEXT’s new competition tier in 2025–2026. Eight Tonka Fusion Elite players were selected for U.S. Soccer’s Midwest Talent ID Program in Iowa. Tonka Fusion Elite has announced a partnership with Stefans and Adidas, and its site content also mentions Minnesota Bliss as WPSL’s newest team.
