Feed My Starving Children Volunteer Meal Packing is a program where kids and adults hand-pack nutritious MannaPack meals. Volunteers work together to hand-pack these meals, which are specifically designed to assist in reversing and preventing undernutrition.
• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Price: 88% of total donations are spent directly on meal production; each meal costs less than 30 cents; $106 feeds a child for a year; $424 feeds a family for a year; 2,255 feeds a class for a year.
The program’s mission states that no child should have to worry about food, and that kids and adults of all ages hand-pack nutritious MannaPack meals specifically designed to assist in reversing and preventing undernutrition. Volunteers hand-pack meals, and Feed My Starving Children ships these meals to in-country food partners. Each day, partners distribute these meals in schools, orphanages, clinics, and feeding programs around the world. Feed My Starving Children has eight permanent food-packing sites and a nationwide MobilePack program, and it also maintains staging warehouses where no food packing takes place to save money and be good stewards of donations. Kids and adults of all ages can volunteer to hand-pack meals. Feed My Starving Children consistently receives the highest awards for integrity and trustworthiness. One young student said, “I don’t know how to help. I’m still in primary school.”
