About
Northfield Golf Club Junior Golf Programs include Junior Golf Camps, “Swings After School” junior golf simulator lessons, Junior Individual 30 Minute Lessons, and Junior 2-4 Person 60 Minute Lessons. Junior Golf Winter Instruction Training uses simulator instruction, and skills training is led by PGA Professional Kyle Scanlon with Simulator Instruction.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Junior Golf Camps run Monday–Thursday, with Camp #1 from June 9–June 12 and Camp #2 from July 21–July 24, plus “Swings After School” multi-class sessions over winter for ages 11–18
• Price: Junior Individual 30 Minute Lesson $40; Junior 2-4 Person 60 Minute Lesson $90 (total); Junior Golf Camps $95 for Northfield GC members and $125 for non-members
Instruction sessions are open to members and non-members, and range balls are included for all range lessons. Junior instruction uses Uneekor Golf Simulators from November through March, and a Flightscope Mevo+ launch monitor is available by request for outdoor lessons. The program is led by Kyle Scanlon, PGA Head Golf and Teaching Professional, with Jerry Carpenter serving as General Manager. The course is one of the oldest private clubs in Minnesota, originally opened as a 9-hole layout in 1926, expanded to 18 holes after acreage was purchased in 1975, and the clubhouse was rebuilt after a fire in 1991.
