The Minnesota Youth Soccer Association was founded in 1969 as the Minnesota Junior Soccer League and was incorporated in 1987 as the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association. For more than 50 years, the association has been helping member clubs provide a safe and meaningful soccer experience for Minnesota youth. The association’s mission is to be a partner, build a strong foundation, and unite the Minnesota soccer community. The Minnesota Youth Soccer Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and is a member of US Youth Soccer and the U.S. Soccer Federation. Its membership in US Youth Soccer connects it to one of 55 member State Associations, which together include over 10,000 clubs or leagues where boys and girls register to play. Each of the 55 State Associations across America are members of US Youth Soccer and U.S. Soccer, and U.S. Soccer is one of over 197 national soccer organizations that are members of FIFA, the international governing body for soccer, of which U.S. Soccer has been a member since 1913.
