Minnesota Youth Soccer Association offers soccer for youth players. The program is part of a larger soccer structure that includes boys and girls registering to play with one of more than 10,000 clubs or leagues within the jurisdiction of various member State Associations.

Founded in 1969 as the Minnesota Junior Soccer League and incorporated in 1987 as the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association, the organization has been involved in youth soccer for more than 50 years. For more than 50 years, Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) has been helping member clubs provide a safe and meaningful soccer experience for Minnesota youth. The organization includes approximately 25,000 players ages 6 to 19 and about 8,000 coaches and administrators, and it is supported by a full-time office staff and a Board of Directors.
Minnesota Youth Soccer Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Its stated mission is to be a partner, build a strong foundation, and unite the Minnesota soccer community. It is a member of US Youth Soccer and the U.S. Soccer Federation, and each of the 55 State Associations across America are members of US Youth Soccer and U.S. Soccer. US Youth Soccer membership is divided into four regions: East, Midwest, South, and West, and 55 member State Associations make up US Youth Soccer, with one in each state and two in California, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas. U.S. Soccer, along with over 197 other national soccer organizations, are members of FIFA, the international governing body for soccer, and U.S. Soccer has been a member since 1913.
The Outreach Program for Soccer (TOPSoccer) is a nationwide soccer program for youth and adults with mental and/or physical disabilities that is associated with this structure. Minnesota Youth Soccer is moving to PlayMetrics beginning with the Fall 2026–2027 season. The organization’s website is powered by SportsEngine’s Sports Relationship Management (SRM) software and is owned and subject to the USYS Minnesota privacy policy.
