First Tee – Minnesota at Highland National Golf Course

First Tee – Minnesota at Highland National Golf Course focuses on golf. The program is part of First Tee – Minnesota and uses golf as the core activity for kids.

• Ages: 4–16 years old

First Tee’s mission states that it integrates the game of golf with a life skills curriculum that creates active learning experiences, builds inner strength, and develops self-confidence for kids ages 4 to 16. The leadership team for this site includes Franco Zerna, First Tee – Minnesota’s Program Director; John Shimpach, PGA Head Golf Professional/Manager; and Rob Norris, Staff Director/Assistant Manager. John Shimpach is a PGA Head Golf Professional/Manager. First Tee – Minnesota is one of 150 First Tee chapters located around the world and has a close relationship with the PGA TOUR First Tee Foundation. Kids of all experience levels are welcome. Program scholarships and golf equipment are provided to families in need.
