First Tee – Minnesota at Highland National Golf Course

First Tee – Minnesota at Highland National Golf Course focuses on golf instruction and practice for kids. The program takes place at the Learning Center near the driving range.

• Ages: 4–16 years old

First Tee – Minnesota’s mission is to integrate the game of golf with a life skills curriculum that creates active learning experiences, builds inner strength, and develops self-confidence for kids ages 4 to 16. Kids of all experience levels are welcome. Program scholarships and golf equipment are provided to families in need.

The leadership team includes Franco Zerna, First Tee – Minnesota’s Program Director; John Shimpach, PGA, Head Golf Professional/Manager; and Rob Norris, Staff Director/Assistant Manager. Head Golf Professional/Manager John Shimpach is a PGA professional. First Tee – Minnesota is one of 150 First Tee chapters located around the world, and it has a close relationship with the PGA TOUR First Tee Foundation.
