About
Kenwood Gymnastics Center offers preschool classes, progressive classes from beginner to advanced training, and girls and boys competitive and non-competitive team programs. The program also runs field trips, as well as camps and clinics for participants. Classes and activities take place in a fully-staffed training facility that includes a separate preschool area and a spacious, open viewing area for parents with free Wi-Fi.
• Ages: 2–18 years old
• Schedule: Class and program options Monday–Thursday during daytime and evening hours, Friday afternoons, and Saturday mornings
Kenwood Gymnastics Center was established in 2010 and is owned by Brian Meeker. The stated mission is to enrich each child’s life through participation in gymnastics in a safe and positive environment, with a focus on building confidence, instilling courage, and developing character in young athletes who will appreciate the benefit of fitness and wellness for life. The program has a weather closing policy that typically follows Minneapolis Public Schools daytime school closures, a sick policy requesting children stay home from gymnastics if they stay home from school or daycare, and a missed class policy with no make-ups or credits for elected absences, with a make-up option offered if Kenwood closes due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. The facility offers four levels of progressive girls classes called BOUNCERS, SKIPS, LEAPSTERS, and FLAIRS.
