About
Circus Juventas Summer Camps introduce campers to circus arts through activities such as aerial, acrobatics, balance, juggling, theater, Flying Trapeze, Bungee Trapeze, High Wire Walking, and German Wheel. All camp options provide an experience of all these genres of circus arts. Most campers attend with little to no prior experience.
• Ages: 7–18 years old
• Schedule: Camps run 9 a.m.–3 p.m., with Sampler Camps offered as one-day full-day (9 a.m.–3 p.m.) or half-day morning (9 a.m.–12 p.m.) sessions; Week-Long Performance Camps run for a full week, Experience Camp runs for three days, and Teen High-Flying Adventure Camp runs for a week
• Price: Sampler Camps $95 per full day or $50 per half day; Week-Long Performance Camps $475 per week; Experience Camp $285 per week; Teen High-Flying Adventure Camp $450 per week
Circus Juventas offers four types of summer camp options: week-long Performance Camps, daily Sampler Camps, a three-day Experience Camp, and a Teen High-Flying Adventure Camp that includes an exhilarating combination of the most thrilling acts and is described as an adventure remembered for a lifetime. All camps are for ages 7–18, with students assigned to groups based on age, and buddy requests are available. For the flying trapeze portion of Teen High-Flying Adventure Camp, students must weigh less than 175 pounds and be at least 4'10" in height for the safety of fliers and coaches.
All camps run from 9 a.m.–3 p.m., with parents or guardians asked to drop off campers no earlier than 8:45 a.m. and pick up at 3 p.m. Week-long Performance Camp participants perform at 2 p.m. on Friday. For 2026, Sampler Camps are offered June 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5; Week-Long Performance Camps run June 8–12, June 15–19, June 22–26, and July 6–10; Experience Camp runs June 29–July 1; and Teen High-Flying Adventure Camp runs June 29–July 2. Summer camp registration opens January 13 at 12:00 p.m., and a waitlist option is available on the registration site once a camp reaches capacity. Circus Juventas reserves the right to cancel a camp due to insufficient enrollment, in which case a full refund is processed.
Campers are asked to pack a day bag with a lunch box, water bottle, mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks, athletic shoes, and socks, and to label everything with their names. Campers should wear comfortable, non-baggy clothing they can move in, such as tank tops and leggings, shorts and T-shirts, or leotards, with long hair pulled back and large jewelry removed. Close-toed shoes are needed for some equipment, and food is not provided, so campers need to bring a lunch. For the flying trapeze portion of Teen High-Flying Adventure Camp, students must weigh less than 175 pounds and be at least 4'10" in height.
Circus Juventas states that summer camps are all about creating a safe space where students can have new adventures, experience traditional and contemporary circus arts and global inspirations, and receive encouragement in a non-competitive, nurturing environment. Camps are described as a one-of-a-kind summer camp experience in the Twin Cities and as a way to experience the magic of circus without the year-long commitment of regular classes. Camps are described as designed to delight, challenge, and inspire campers in new and creative ways, and CJ coaches are described as committed to working individually with every student based on the students’ needs and abilities. Circus Juventas, a performing arts circus school for youth, states that it is dedicated to inspiring artistry and self-confidence through a multi-cultural circus arts experience.
