White Bear Lake Volleyball Club offers volleyball team practices, weekend competitions, and a variety of skills clinics, including positional clinics, Serving Skills Clinics, Passing & Serve-Receive Skills Clinics, Setting Skills Clinics, and Hitting Skills Clinics. The program also runs the Bear Blast Tournament and a TIY hair ties fundraiser.
• Schedule: Teams practice twice per week, typically Monday through Thursday between 6pm and 9pm, with 90-minute practices starting the first full week of December, and competitions on weekends; each clinic purchase includes three sessions.
• Price: 2025-26 Winter Season fees total $1,045 per player, with a $345 commitment fee due at Team Placement and a $700 remainder payable in full or in five monthly payments of $140; fees are non-refundable and a SportsEngine processing charge is added at payment; 2026 Positional Clinics cost $40 per clinic and include all three sessions.
The club’s stated mission is to be a positive and challenging environment where girls learn about volleyball, sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and responsibility. The current Director is Julie Steffensmeier. Evaluations are conducted in alignment with the WBLVA Player Evaluation and Team Placement Policy. The program has a partnership with ETS Performance, which is described as a premier sports performance training facility that focuses on speed, power, deceleration, energy system efficiency, movement quality, and overall performance mastery. The Bear Blast Tournament is scheduled for March 28 and 29, 2026, with additional information available on the AES tournament page. The TIY hair ties fundraiser runs from February 19 at 8:00 am through March 23 at 11:59 pm and supports White Bear Lake Volleyball Club. Positional clinics are available to all WBL Volleyball players. Parents have the opportunity to become Board Members.
