The Par-3 course is nine par 3s, and the Exec course is a par 30 with six par 3s and three par 4s, and it is described as an executive course that puts more emphasis on fun than par and is described as a casual golf course for all occasions and all comers.

The leadership team includes General Manager Matt Greer, Operations Manager Steve Nasvik, and Superintendent Tim Jansma. The mission statement for Gem Lake Hills says it defines executive golf by taking course conditions seriously while making the game fun and recreational, and it describes the course as a place for a quick 9 hole round, leagues, and casual outings with friends and family, with a focus on showing up, bringing friends, and having fun.
