About

Lakeshore Players Theatre Education is part of Lakeshore Players Theatre, which offers youth and adult education programming along with concerts, events, and diverse entertainment experiences. The program takes place within a larger season that also includes the LIVE AT LAKESHORE concert and event series.

Founded in 1953 in White Bear Lake, Lakeshore Players Theatre has continuously operated as a community theater and began operating year-round in the Hanifl Performing Arts Center in April 2018. Lakeshore Players Theatre states that it is committed to providing entertainment, education and enrichment through performing arts. The organization depends on many volunteers who fill roles behind the scenes, on stage, and in the house, and notes that ticket sales cover about 50% of what it takes to bring a production to life. The Hanifl Performing Arts Center and Lakeshore’s activities are supported by contributions from thousands of local residents and by a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant funded through a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
