White Bear Basketball Association runs a highly competitive basketball program that includes regular practices and competitive tournament play. Players take part in practices two nights per week after school activities and compete in tournaments with 3–4 games on most weekends around the metro. Tournaments are rarely so far away that they require an overnight stay, and any overnights are at the team’s discretion. The program is noted as the best option for players who wish to be varsity players, though players have also come through Rec.

One of the stated goals of White Bear Basketball Association is to help White Bear Area basketball players find the best basketball option. The mission notes a belief in the power of basketball to build confident kids who learn how to work hard the right way to achieve their goals.
The WBBA provides the opportunity for youth in grades 3 through 8 who attend public, private, charter, or home schools within the boundaries of the White Bear Lake Area School District to participate in this highly competitive basketball program. WBBA meetings are open to the public, and all are welcome and encouraged to attend meetings during their time with the WBBA. There are several non-elected positions that support the operations of the White Bear Basketball Association Board of Directors, and the organization is looking for friends and parents within the community to fill these roles. There are open board positions and volunteer opportunities connected to these roles.
Sponsors of the program include Donatelli's and Cup and Cone, and Cup and Cone is open until December 20th, 2025 this year. The program’s website is powered by SportsEngine's Sports Relationship Management (SRM) software and is owned by and subject to the White Bear Basketball Association privacy policy.
