About

Tamarack Nature Center Day Camps focus on exploring the great outdoors and covering a wide variety of nature topics. The program also includes a day camp youth volunteer opportunity for ages 14–17.

• Ages: 3–13 years old
• Schedule: Most camp weeks run Monday–Thursday, with full day camps from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. for all age groups except Sprouts, and additional morning or afternoon options for younger age groups.

Camp age groups include Sprouts (3 years old, must be bathroom independent), Critters (4 and 5 year olds), Discoverers (6 and 7 year olds), Explorers (8 and 9 year olds), and Wanderers (10–13 year olds). For Sprouts (3 year olds), a 9 a.m.–noon option is available. For Critters (4 and 5 year olds), 9 a.m.–noon and 1–4 p.m. options are available. For Discoverers (6 and 7 year olds), a 1–4 p.m. option is available. Before and After Camp Care hours are available at limited capacity. Each individual camper can register for a maximum of three camps per season. The mission statement for Tamarack Nature Center Day Camps is: “Helping people discover the value of nature through play, exploration, service and inquiry.” The leadership team includes Camp Coordinator Tasha Sopp, Office Manager Kristy Rockford, Environmental Educator Supervisor Savannah Maiers, and Environmental Educator Manager Noelle Roden.
