Little Medical School

Little Medical School offers hands-on activities, role-play, and interactive demonstrations for children aged 4-14. The program includes Little Medical School activities in veterinary medicine, forensic science, and marine biology, and its offerings also include Little Doctor School, Little Veterinarian School, LMS – Sports Medicine, LMS – Future Pediatrician, and LMS – Wilderness Medicine. Students use real medical instruments and, in some sessions, take on roles such as doctor, veterinarian, athletic trainer, orthopedic surgeon, pediatrician, or medical helper in wilderness situations.

Programs

• Inspiring STEM Programs — children aged 4-14 · Hands-on activities, role-play, and interactive demonstrations in Veterinary Medicine, Forensic Science, Little Medical School, and Marine Biology.
• Little Doctor School — students in middle and high school · Students assume the role of a doctor and learn how the body works, how to use medical instruments, administer first aid, and how to tie knots like a real surgeon.
• Little Veterinarian School — Students assume the role of a veterinarian and learn to perform a nose-to-tail exam, the importance of proper nutrition, perform a tick check, and identify animal body language.
• LMS – Sports Medicine — Students explore the roles of an athletic trainer and orthopedic surgeon and learn how to diagnosis and treat common sports injuries such as sprains, strains, and athlete’s foot.
• LMS – Future Pediatrician — Students assume the role of a pediatrician and learn how to hold a baby, do a head-to-toe exam, change a diaper, and keep a baby safe.
• LMS – Wilderness Medicine — Students learn about dangers in the wild such as bug bites, snake bites, and poisonous plants. They practice splinting a broken leg, tying a tourniquet, and filtering dirty water.

Little Medical School uses a STEM.org accredited curriculum and STEM.org certified programs. Its curriculum is written by experienced educators, board-certified physicians, and trained healthcare professionals. A portion of retail sales helps fund scholarships through Dr. Genie’s Kids.
