STEP Computer Academy – Junior Computer Academy & Computer Camps offers group and private classes that include programming in C, algorithms, 3D game development, 3D modeling, digital art and design, and network administration. The program also includes the Junior Computer Academy, First STEP in STEAM for 1–4 graders, a Comprehensive Computer Science program, an Advanced Algorithm program, STEAM Journey, and Competitive Robotics (including FLL). Students can also attend Computer Camps and a Winter Camp that focus on areas such as programming, design, digital art, and robotics.

• Schedule: Class options Monday–Saturday within the hours of Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri 4:00PM–8:00PM and Sat 9:00AM–4:00PM
• Price: $80 per hour for private sessions tailored to specific interests and schedule

STEP Computer Academy has been a major player in IT education since its foundation in 1999, and its US branch was founded in 2015. The Junior Computer Academy serves students in grades 1–12, and group classes welcome students from 1st grade up to 12th grade, with small groups of up to 8 students for grades 1–2 and up to 12 students for grades 3 and above. The program also offers private classes for all ages and free trial classes for existing groups, and its curriculum follows IT industry trends and constantly evolves.

The majority of instructors are industry experts who teach specific topics or groups several times a week, and lessons are given by a certified tutor. The mission of STEP Computer Academy is to empower students with a quality education to unlock their full potential for future success. The organization partners with local non-profits to provide computer education for underserved communities and participates in initiatives that support access to computer science education.

Junior STEP Institute was included in the top 5 Human Development Projects according to UNESCO and the International Telecommunication Union from the United Nations. Branches of STEP IT Institute are authorized educational centers of Microsoft, Cisco, and Autodesk, and students may earn Microsoft, Cisco, and Autodesk certificates during their studies. Students of the program have taken first prizes in international IT contests and championships, including the Microsoft Imagine Cup in Sydney, Australia, Autodesk “Junior Master,” and the V and VI Cisco Olympiads. One student, Zharabasova Alua, is a member of Kazakhstan’s national team in Graphic Design for the WorldSkills world championship and won prizes in three online championships in 2021, and the team in Network Administration took 1st and 2nd places in the WorldSkills Republican Championship in 2018 and 2019.
