About
Outdoors for All Recreation Programs offers outdoor activities such as downhill skiing, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, cycling, hiking, camping, river rafting, kayaking, rock climbing, day camps, yoga, water skiing, and group programs. The program provides year-round adaptive therapeutic activities and uses a Program Hotline so families can verify if activities are on schedule. Activities may be delayed or canceled due to weather, road conditions, or limited participation, and the hotline is updated three hours before each activity.

The mission of Outdoors for All Recreation Programs is to enrich the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities through outdoor recreation. The programs and operations are managed by 23 full and part time staff, supported by over 850 volunteers each year, and the team has a strong collective knowledge built on years of experience in the industry. Each year, more than 2,500 children and adults with disabilities take part in these outdoor recreation activities with the support of over 850 volunteers. Outdoors for All is a nonprofit organization exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code, and charitable gifts are deductible as allowed by this code.
The Outdoors for All Foundation began in 1978 when fifteen children with disabilities came together to learn downhill skiing at The Summit at Snoqualmie. After the first season, the program was incorporated in 1979 as a nonprofit organization known as the Ski for All Foundation. In 2006, the name of the foundation was changed to Outdoors for All to reflect the year-round nature of its mission and programming. The organization also operates the Magnuson Park Adaptive Cycling Center as part of its offerings. Families are asked to call the Program Hotline to verify if activities are on schedule and to contact their program lead directly if they plan to be absent.
