About the provider
The Lincoln Children’s Museum’s mission is to invite children to create, discover, and learn through the power of play. It is a 23,000 square foot, three-floor destination for children’s imagination. In 1987, parents and educators came together to concept a hands-on learning museum for children in Nebraska, and after a 10-day “Sights and Sounds” exhibit in 1988 attracted 10,000 families, a permanent museum opened in December 1989. The museum is KultureCity-certified and a member of the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM).
