Saturday Academy offers classes for all ages, summer camps, days-off programs for grades K–5 and 9–12, school residencies, and apprenticeship programs in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM). Summer camps for rising K–8 students are full-day, week-long programs and are organized into Explorers for grades K–2, Makers for grades 3–5, and Creators for grades 6–8. The program also offers Apprenticeships in Science and Engineering (ASE) and Apprenticeships in STEAM Exploration (ASE) for high school students.

Saturday Academy has offered programs since 1983 and describes its history as spanning over 40 years. The organization was co-founded by Jackie Jackson and Gail Whitney, both public school teachers. Its mission is to develop creative, confident, and curious critical thinkers by engaging students in socially conscious and equitable STEAM experiences, to spark curiosity, connect the community, and empower students to become innovative thinkers and problem solvers.
Saturday Academy provides wide access to hands-on STEAM learning for diverse students in grades K–12 and organizes its programs by grade bands K–8 and 9–12. Programs are led by community experts during out-of-school time and include affordable year-round STEAM offerings. The Link.ed School Residency Program brings STEAM-focused, student-centered learning experiences directly into schools for grades K–8.
Through its community involvement, Saturday Academy connects students with local professionals to explore careers. The Apprenticeships in STEAM Exploration program links motivated high school students with mentors in STEAM fields for pre-professional internships.
