DC Way Soccer Programs offers a wide range of soccer activities, including Summer Camp options such as Art & Soccer Summer Camp, Exploration Summer Camp, World Cup Summer Camp, Brazilian Way Summer Camp, and Spring Break Camp. The program also runs Capitol Hill Winter League, Futsal Skills Clinics, Kids Academy, Goalkeeping School, Weekly Skills Clinics, One Day Camp, Art & Soccer Day Camp, After-School Programs, Private Lessons, Adult Skills Clinics, and Soccer Birthday Party events.

DC Way Soccer Programs was founded in 2013 and is celebrating its 10-year anniversary, with more than a decade of experience sharing its love of sports with children. It is a Capitol Hill-based recreational soccer club that describes itself as an award-winning, community-enriching youth sports club and offers programs for children aged 3–14. The club’s mission is to help develop the game of soccer in the DC area and bring opportunities for all children to play and enjoy soccer, to develop bright young athletes, and to help children be active and play, all at an affordable cost.
The leadership team includes Founder & Program Director Denis Chekuristov, Executive Director Roman Kilishek, Marketing Manager Melis Bayraktaroglu, and Manager of Operations Russ Guliyev. Denis Chekuristov holds a National Soccer Coaching License for ages 8–12 and a Coerver Coaching Youth Diploma. Melis Bayraktaroglu earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Organizational Sciences from The George Washington University School of Business, and Roman Kilishek has an MBA from George Mason University and a background in finance and project management.
DC Way Soccer Programs has received recognition in the Washington City Paper Best of D.C. issue, winning “Best Sports Coach” and “Best Summer Camp,” and has been recognized as Best Soccer Camp in Washington, DC by the Washington City Paper Reader's Poll 2017. Founder Denis Chekuristov was recognized as Best Sports Coach by Washington City Paper in both 2016 and 2017. DC Way describes its programs as carefully developed and planned with the head coach considering age, ability, and number of players in each session, and notes that programs run all year round on weekdays and weekends.
The Art & Soccer Summer Camp focuses on celebrating the FIFA World Cup through art and soccer with a different country each week. Exploration Summer Camp includes playing soccer, creating art, and exploring Capitol Hill by discovering historic landmarks, learning real stories about Washington, DC, and creating art inspired by what participants see. World Cup Summer Camp features a different country theme each week, including Team USA and Italy, with soccer games, learning about different playing styles, and fun challenges. Brazilian Way Summer Camp offers authentic coaching from experienced Brazilian coaches and focuses on learning soccer the Brazilian way with creativity, joy, and skill. Spring Break Camp offers five unique camp options across DC, including creating art inspired by soccer legends, exploring Brazilian culture, and World Cup action.
Capitol Hill Winter League is an indoor futsal league played in a fast-paced, small-sided format. Futsal Skills Clinics are for preschool through 2nd grade and combine fun, fast-paced drills with expert coaching. Kids Academy offers both soccer sessions and multi-sport sessions as an introduction to sports, and Goalkeeping School focuses on agility, strategy, and leadership for goalkeepers. DC Way notes that it emphasizes a pressure-free environment covering physical, mental, social-emotional, and communication development, prioritizes sportsmanship, puts players first, and works closely with parents and families to build strong connections. The program describes its training as using a dynamic curriculum with engaging drills, fun games, and life lessons focused on fundamentals, teamwork, and skill development. Staff members, including Melis Bayraktaroglu, are involved in various community initiatives and volunteer to help combat chronic homelessness.
