About
Summers at Albrook is an eight-week summer camp that takes place on a campus with air-conditioned rooms, fully equipped Montessori classrooms, two heated in-ground pools, and extensive playgrounds. The program is staffed by certified Montessori teachers, Montessori trained teachers, experienced lifeguards, and swim instructors, and a trained teacher instructs each program.
• Ages: 2–12 years old
• Schedule: Eight-week summer camp with the option to attend for one week or all eight weeks
The Albrook School, which runs Summers at Albrook, has been instilling a love of learning for over 45 years and is guided by a Montessori philosophy that focuses on developing the whole child intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. It is a private non-profit Montessori school fully accredited by the American Montessori Society and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The school states that it values independent thinking, creative problem solving, collaboration, innovation, global awareness, and technological capability, and that it supports and inspires its teachers to continually evolve professionally.
One parent from the Tomaru family reports that The Albrook School has provided a safe environment for their children to discover their interests, learn with confidence, and develop an understanding of respect and courtesy for others. A student named Sebastian describes spending seven years at the school, enjoying the playgrounds, two swimming pools, and a small soccer field, and says that he enjoyed the camps in the summer and plans to return to visit and volunteer in the future.
