JAZZ HOUSE KiDS

JAZZ HOUSE KiDS offers in-school and out-of-school programs that include small group jazz education, performance programs, mentorship programs, apprenticeship, summer programs, and concerts. The program includes both world-class education and performances that create avenues of access, learning, career development and community building through the power and legacy of jazz. JAZZ HOUSE NYC offers free small group jazz education to both new and established musicians in the NYC area.

For over 20 years, JAZZ HOUSE KiDS has been transforming lives using the power and legacy of jazz. JAZZ HOUSE KiDS is the only community arts organization in New Jersey exclusively dedicated to educating children through jazz, with year-round programming that nurtures a love for jazz and centers jazz as intervention, empowering students ages 8 to 19, at every level of experience, to rise and improvise. The organization and its students have received more than 125 awards and honors for excellence in jazz and jazz education.

The organization’s far-reaching cultural signature program is the award-winning MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL, the largest free jazz festival in the NYC area, attracting more than 25,000 attendees to downtown Montclair each year. Most events and performances are free and open to the public.
