Rising Treetops at Oakhurst

Rising Treetops at Oakhurst offers activities that include arts & crafts, music, drama, iPad-based learning, swimming, sports, cooking, and gardening/nature. The program includes summer camp and overnight respite services, emergency respite, an afterschool program, and facility rental. It operates as an overnight camp for children and adults with disabilities, including autism, aged 8 and older.

Rising Treetops at Oakhurst has been providing special needs services to people with disabilities since 1906 and has been located on the same 15-acre wooded camp environment for over a century. The organization’s mission statement describes a safe, caring, and engaging environment that offers a worry-free break for clients and their families, with a focus on inclusion, happiness, and learning new skills for kids and adults with a broad range of special needs. Rising Treetops at Oakhurst describes itself as a safe haven that nurtures growth, inspires confidence, and celebrates joy, and uses the tag line “Inspired confidence and joy in those with special needs,” along with a logo that features a tree with entwined stylized hands for the leaves. The leadership team includes Lauren Frary as Executive Director effective January 20, 2026, Diana Breen as Interim Executive Director, and the Board of Directors at Rising Treetops at Oakhurst, and the organization has offices in both New York and New Jersey. Friends and supporters of Rising Treetops at Oakhurst gather near the camp in Monmouth County, New Jersey, for the 20th Annual Summer Benefit.
