About
The Township of Ocean Summer Recreation Program includes on-site and off-site events, arts and crafts, swimming, volleyball, and basketball. Groups go to the Township of Ocean pool three or four days per week for swimming, volleyball, and basketball. Children are grouped by the grade level they are entering in September 2025.
• Ages: 6–13 years old
• Schedule: Program runs 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, with Session 1 from July 6–July 17, Session 2 from July 20–July 31, Session 3 from August 3–August 14, and Sun & Fun sessions June 29–July 2 and August 17–21; optional early drop-off from 8:00 AM and late pick-up until 5:00 PM, with bussing pick-ups starting around 8:00 AM
• Price: Summer Recreation fees range from $300–$375 for Ocean residents and $350–$425 for non-residents depending on registration date, with additional bussing fees of $115–$155, early drop-off fees of $55–$85 (non-residents add $25), late pick-up fees of $55–$85 (non-residents add $25), and Sun & Fun fees of $160–$200 for residents and $200–$240 for non-residents depending on registration date
The Summer Recreation Camp program uses Ocean Township buses identified by red, white, and blue bus markers on either side and the back. Children who are not registered for bussing must be dropped off and picked up at Ocean Township Elementary School, and the Early Drop-Off program extends the child’s day at that school. SUN & FUN is a smaller summer program meant to extend the child’s summer activities and takes place at the Oakhurst Meeting Room the week before and after the Summer Recreation sessions, and there is no bussing available for Sun & Fun. Summer Recreation Rules and Guidelines, Sun & Fun Rules and Guidelines, and a Pool Diagram are provided as important information to read, and it is strongly recommended that families register for Summer Recreation online through CommunityPass.
