About
The Painter's Loft DIY Pottery Wheel & Art Studio offers walk-in open studio time where kids can do canvas painting, pottery painting, fused glass, candle making, and pottery wheel classes and memberships. The studio also offers a Candle Making Class to learn the basics of how to get started in candle making, using sand wax, gel, soy, and paraffin wax. The Pottery Wheel Studio is located directly above the main studio.

The Painter's Loft DIY Pottery Wheel & Art Studio offers classes, memberships, and workshops for all levels, including classes for all ages, as well as Try It Out classes and private lessons. The leadership team includes studio owner and ceramics and art instructor Cindy Laliwala, ceramics instructor Christina Johnson, summer camp ceramics instructor Rachel Day, and summer camp AM art instructor for kids, Katie Larson. The studio has a mix of licensed teachers and art education based instructors; Cindy Laliwala attended Parsons School of Design in New York City and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Christina Johnson received her BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, Rachel Day received her Bachelor of Arts at Sarah Lawrence College and earned a Masters of Education at Mercy College, and Katie Larson has a BFA and an MA in teaching from The College of New Jersey. The studio owner has dedicated the last 15 years to teaching art to both adults and children. According to its mission statement, The Painter’s Loft is committed to providing students with talented, fun, and highly motivating instructors, with a mix of licensed teachers and art education based instructors, and offers a wide range of classes for beginner to more advanced students. The studio is LGBTQ+ friendly, is a local minority-owned business, and the studio owner has taught art enrichment at local HVRSD elementary schools and is currently the summer ceramics instructor for The Pennington School. The studio also works with adults with disabilities and teaches art and ceramics at the studio.
